Tonight's Shadows
Black, glittering curtains covered the sky
Gently, the candle's eye closed
Night's noble steed crosses blistering deserts
To deliver its message to the sky's Queen
"My Beloved Queen:
Thee sky shall have no light for twelve hours
for thy sun shall go o'er the mountains
and into its bed it shall rest.
But, I shall not leave thou with no guide
for I shall have lanterns across thee sky.
Wind shall hum a sweet song to end today.
By the next morning, Jasmine and Anais shall
spray delightful odors to spread smiles
across people's sleeping faces.
Oh Beloved Queen, thou shall rest tonight too
as the stars stand to guard tonight's sky."
Shadows danced beautifully in a parade
Shadows waved goodbye to the day's light
Stars began to appear across the sky
The Queen blew a kiss...."Goodnight My Dears"
