Today's the Day I Lost Her

What the difference between alive and dead?
For me it's all the same.
Spending my days waiting to live but nothing seems to show for it.
yesterday i woke up at two o'clock in the afternoon.
Where were you?
Did you go on with out me?
Really?
I'm trying hard to keep up.
But my legs are at a slow.
But i still can't seem to figure whether you want me to stay or go

Did it change for you in some way?
Was pleading getting to old for me to stick to?
well this bedtime story can't last
With your sign hanging over the exit
These flat shoes give me blisters
but what you do is worse
oh, these shoulders can't hold much more of your 'no''s
I never thought we make it this far
but you do realize it's been pure hell and i'm still here?
waiting to catch up with you
if only i could breathe between these walls i wouldn't have to do it again
i have come to this fork in the road over and over again
I am sore

It's hard when you don't know yourself
will the walls let me breathe now?
does it attack you?
and along came a hand
does it attack you?
you said you'd provide the ironing board
This is accidental?

What is the difference between alive and dead?
holding on to your last rope thinking no one can see
Well thats just not how it's meant to be
It's just not the way...

Wow... that was amazing. The pain is clearly spoken through the dry words. I think you are right, there may be no difference between alive and dead, except during death you can't be seen. Great job Jennifer.
