Today, Tomorrow, and Tomorrow
Today, my soul sat snug
Seeing you from afar
Knowing distance and time don't care
For the shape of what has been,
Remains clear on canvas of my mind.
I've reasoned with myself:
How refreshing
This free space between us
Serving new portions far from lust,
And what is lust?
But a fantastic enemy.
And if friendship is our lot,
Then steaming hot
Friendship is all we've got.
