To Write Like You
TO WRITE LIKE YOU
May be one day I can write
like others and then like you.
First must learn poetry forms that exist.
Oops, so many why I get so confused,
which of these ones Emile used will I choose?
Rhyming’s my favorite, it
keeps my aging mind alert.
Tried Free Verse, this one ran away from me!
Haiku, tell you the truth no way can do!
Seven-Ten, is a new style I’m trying,
if said, "not afraid" lying!
“Lord I Pantoum You”, was quite
a nice surprise, because my poem won!
My first Pantoum, won a golden first place.
So this time I think I'll try something new,
Quatrain, sonnet, acrostic,
Tall-rhyme, this one I’m not sure?
Does that mean my rhymes falls in the realm of,
short, squatty, thin, long, again I'm not sure?
Rispetto, sounds like a type of pasta.
Seven-Ten at last did write,
quite challenging, I must say!
