To Touch Another
Let my heart be open,
to give and to receive.
May the words I've spoken,
give a reason to believe.
I will try to be humble,
along with gentle and kind.
I may falter, and stumble,
but strength, I will find.
My weary spirit, to renew.
It's but a candle's flickering light.
The tiny flame, must shine through,
to be seen in the darkest night.
My soul, seeks to touch another,
one that has lost their way.
To gently stroke, but not smother,
a fragile inner child at play.
If given the chance to reach out,
and shield another from harm.
To sense self worth, without doubt.
The power of grace, magic and charm.
