To the Extent

We pardon to the extent that we love. (Francois de La Rochefoucauld)

I've forgiven you
No, you didn't ask for it
Can't breathe without you

Thanks, my dear Nette. It's easy to say...to write...but still....It's hard to forgive when someone hasn't asked for it....or doesn't feel that they have wronged you. If the personal isn't essential to LIFE, we can be demanding and perhaps even cut ties to guard our hearts, but oh...when the person is vital to existence, what can we do but forgive. Thanks for the visit!

When we forgive someone we unburden our own heart. You have created much soul searching with a very few words, the mark of a master communicator.

Thank you, Richard. It's easy to forgive when forgiveness is asked for....but when it is not...that is a different matter. Yet, as Christ said, "Forgive them, for they know NOT what they do." Sometimes the other party is just not aware of the depth of pain. We forgive...for we love. Hugs
