To My Fellow Veterans

In the military
Some you remember
Some you forget
But none more loyal
Than a fellow vet
To all the soldiers
Of future, present, and past
When courage reigned
And fear stood fast
The honor we display
And the hell that we give
Allow us our freedoms
And rights to live
To my fellow soldiers in uniform
Valor and bravery are the norm
It is to you I salute on this fine day
Your sacrifice on the battlefield
Is why I pray
For your safe return
So I can simply say….
Thank you

Eric (and sometimes not)

Thank you John, I may be a vet but still a soldier at heart.
