My poor sweet love, what can I say?
Although I am a father, I know the pain!
No need to tell me what you're feeling,
Your sorrow is etched in your eyes.
Yet, my little one, there is hope for tomorrow
Hard as it may seem for now.
Still cry you must, for the heartbreak
Is not easy to bear. Don't ask why my love,
Don't. Instead, say I accept the pain.
I know it's not so easy but try you must.
Oh, how I hate to see you so sad.
You were always so sure of yourself
Now I see you broken like a feather
For who can bear two operations for kidney stones?
Heartaches come and heartaches go
They do leave ungainly timeless scars
Operations have always been common,
Since the inception of this evil world.
But you’ll be happy once again I'm sure
The pain will end in a few weeks when
In your arms, you'll hold your two lovely children.
Then you'll have no time to grieve.
Instead, you'll cry for joy.
The sun will shine again, and you will sing once more.
With thanks to Sotto Poet for his support.
