To Move a Mountain
To move a mountain is a wondrous thing;
To do that which is viewed as impossible.
None thought that I would have accomplished it, but I did.
I proved them all wrong.
Their judgment never could stop that which I am made to accomplish.
It was difficult, of course.
I nearly gave up.
But I kept going. Why?
I heard their voices.
Those that claimed I was never enough.
Those who whispered of all my failings.
Those who scoffed, laughed, teased, doubted.
I heard their voices, and I would not let them win.
Not again.
Not ever again.
So I pushed through;
Through all the pain,
Through all the struggle,
Through all the stress.
They would not see me fail again.
They will see me rise, and they will back down.
So I moved the mountain.
And they will never underestimate me again.
