Notes About The Poem

To Him Who Loves Me

He held me through the maelstrom of my heart
strong arms of comfort, chest of solid might
with soothing touch the healing he did start
he brought the rays of sun to warm my night

the whispers in my ear were tender, sweet
they breathed into my soul his courage fierce
he vanquished all the cold with flaming heat
and placed his balm on wounds that lies did pierce

my heart he touched and made to beat once more
my eyes he kissed with truth, and I could see
On lips his love with kisses he did pour
he arms a haven that was meant to be

To him who loves me with such constant care
my dreams, my soul and body I will bare

You can do no wrong when you write romance and with the passion that you have by the ton. This sonnet is amazing and its message bold and clear. Rhyme and rhythm simply superb. Truly top notch and excellent writing my friend. Adding this gem to my fav list!

The eagle has landed....hello, Justin. It takes a strong strong man to love a woman when she is lost in pain. That kind of a man is a stronghold for his woman. A man's arms of love is the most comforting place to be. Such a man deserve too taste her ecstasy. Thanks for visiting, my Eagle....

The quotes and your lovely sonnet touched my inner self; we're not talking of passion or the usual romance...here is affection, belief, reliance...not necessarily based on the physical. I love it. hugs // paul

Thanks, sweetie. I'm really discourage and I'm about to write a scorcher for those who find romance and sensuality....not to their taste. It really unnerves me. Keep looking....another fifteen or so minutes.
