Notes About The Poem

To Feel You In Every Pulse

I long to be in your endearing presence
To drown all my anguish and anxiety
In the irresistible lure of your magnetism
And to be pulled closer to you by love’s gravity

I seek to be in your comforting nearness
To feel you in every breath and pulse
To peer into the brambles of your dark eyes
And cover them with my palms on an impulse

I want to be within the radius of your proximity
To make you feel how feelings of passion gyrate
As the whirl of a current in the depths of my heart
That waits to overflow like a river in spate

I crave to be lost in your mesmerizing charm
To touch, taste and feel the fragrance of love
My body warmly snuggled close to you
Like a crooning, brooding, love-bitten dove

Now soak me in the liquid passion of your heart
That impels my spirit to scale new heights
Turn my heart into an opening blossom of joy
And rock me in happy swings in love’s delights

Third place is a trophy win, I only accepted those in the first three categories. We judge blind, we don't have a clue who submits a poem. This was a difficult contest to judge, the poems are excellent. Also, you are not last, the names are in alphabetical order. Since your name begins with V, the contest generates and sets the winners names in order.
