HONORABLE MENTION
In the Catholic faith that I was brought up in, we believe that death is re-birth, and it comes
to all. In Genesis 3:19 it reads, "from dust you came and to dust you will return." Death brings
equality to all humans. I think it symbolizes human mortality, and fragility. A common prayer
at burials is, "Earth to Earth, Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust, My own spiritual reflection is that
this is the temporary nature of life. The complete circle of human existence, from birth to death.
I wonder, does my beloved mother hear me, and watch over me from Heaven . . .
