To Be a Diva

Fantasy in a red gown Face as beautiful as dawn Figure to make men weep Filling the Met with my voice Feeling the music soar Finding high C with ease Flowing, soaring, caressing Fascinating the audience Fabulous final aria Footlights up, flowers, curtain calls Oh..to sing at the Metropolitan Opera For Christie’s Fantasy contest Unfortunately, I can’t sing a note.

Nice fantasy! Some of my poetry has been set to music by my father and I sing while he plays the piano. Thanks for the information bout the author of the poem about "Flanders Field". I saw "Madame Butterfly" a while back and enjoyed it. Keep it up! Yours Matthew Anish

I can't sing either, but I love a great voice. As a kid, my dream was to play with the Philadelphia Orchestra, had a voice like a frog. We can all dream. Aint it wonderful? Love, daver

Your fantasy is richly worded, Barbara. I don't sing either, but I can relate to the desire to fascinate the audience with a moving aria!
