To Annoy Or Not To Annoy

My intention was never to annoy!
I hope to enchant you with my rhyme.
Repitition's path can lead to joy.
There is magic imbedded in each line.

I hope to enchant you with my Rhyme.
Like repeating notes in a symphony.
There is magic imbedded in each line.
Allow yourself to float along with me.

Like repeating notes in a symphony.
Dance along endless possibilities.
Allow yourself to float along with me.
Escaping our mundane realities.

Dance along endless possibilities.
Others may look and think that we are fools.
Escaping our mundane realities.
True artistry expressed within the rules.

Others may look and think that we are fools.
Repetition's path can lead to joy!
True artistry expressed within the rules.
My intention was never to annoy.

Written May 7th 2014 for Charlotte Puddifoot's Iritate me contest.

yes, I have to admit, this did annoy me (but in the nicest way possible)! lol you really clobbered me with the repetition haha but there is a real musical quality to the lines and the poem has great flow; it's well thought out and very well written - congrats on your win in my contest :)

Thanks Charlotte, I do like these repeating forms but tend to prefer writing in free form the most.

Well done. Personally, I always like these forms. Great rhyme and meter. Mine was actually intended to annoy. I guess it succeeded. Cheers, Roy

Very entertaining, not annoying at all! I am envious that you can express such artistry within the rules. The little rebel dancing around inside me just makes me want to tie the rules up in knots.

Hey, unforced rhyme and meter! I'm amazed. Don't see a lot of that these days, but this is very good, Richard. Glad I dropped by to read. Peace, my friend ~M
