Tit For Tat Don't Do That

Jon Stewart, sometimes host of The Daily Show ridicules Trump,
then dares jump to the other side and does the same to Biden.
His viewers won't buy that second one, all caterwauling,
You didn't warn me/them/us/they/he/she/vis or the xemeself
That you had intention to go rogue and do that tit for tat!
Go ahead and demean the Don, he's earned every bit of it,
But leave old Joe alone, he deserves our love and loyalty!

The very art of comedy is the personal attack... usually through embellishment of some minor flaw or deed. When we get too big for our britches... we have friends to pull us back from the abyss. Comedians serve the same function for our politicians. To think they should be free from personal attack is wrong. But the attack must be humorous and funny. If the attack is just mean... it's not comedy.

I did not find Stewart's comedy toward either Trump or Biden funny. So, in my opinion, he needs to improve his shtick.

I'm a Canadian... so I don't have a dog in this hunt. But the ability to mock and criticize political leaders is a hallmark of a healthy democracy. If you think your Dear Leader is above this,,, Putin and Hitler have your full support.

Wow. Is that an ad hominem attack? If it is its quite trite. While we are on the subject of dictators, that Justin Trudeau is certainly rising to the occasion, eh? BTW the only "dear leader" I have is God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Spirit.
