Tiptoe In the Night
she tippy toed
as gently as she could
not wanting to disturb
forgetting where she was
and where she was heading to
locked in a distant dream
stopped dead in her tracks
in the midst of darkness
she opened the door
to let herself out
amused by the
stillness of the night
the brightness of the moon
following a midnight breeze
the scent of a distant dream
enchanted by the
glitter of a million stars
she tiptoed as gently as she could
