Tiptoe In the Night

she tippy toed as gently as she could not wanting to disturb forgetting where she was and where she was heading to locked in a distant dream stopped dead in her tracks in the midst of darkness she opened the door to let herself out amused by the stillness of the night the brightness of the moon following a midnight breeze the scent of a distant dream enchanted by the glitter of a million stars she tiptoed as gently as she could AP: 2nd place 2020 Posted on December 27, 2019

This has a certain beauty about it; it is easy to see her from the imagery; it's like one is right there.

Not fair! You drew me in, I was right with her in the night, under the moon and feeling the breeze then I was left clueless as to where I, I mean she, was going! How poetically creative of you to thus frustrate me. Wonder how long my imagination will take deciding where oh where was she going. Loved it. CayCay

A very gentle poem with a gentle soul tiptoeing as silently as she can not to awaken a loved one. And then the stars in the moonlit sky what a beautiful flow of words Line. Well done, Best wishes, Jennifer

The only thing I like more than your imagery is what you've chosen to leave unsaid, which is an art in itself. Well done, Line. Enjoyed!

This makes me want to tiptoe out there and look at the stars, Line, so guess what I am doing right now? Thank you for the inspiration, my friend. I am never disappointed in the sky - day or night.
