Time's Infinite Stream

You promised you never would, yet you quickly broke my heart. And then simply walked away as my whole world fell apart. Within time's infinite stream I was drowning in my pain. And prayed for you to come back, believing I'd go insane. Whenever I thought of you, all I ever did was weep. And tossed and turned through the night, letting tears rob me of sleep. Love morphed into depression as my dreams began to die. And yet, though my heart still hurts, I no longer want to cry. The ghosts of yesterday's dreams haunt my memories of you. But time has helped my heart heal, and allowed hope to renew. (Quatrain) 12/20/2015

My favourite lines: "Yet although my heart still hurts I no longer want to cry." and "The ghosts of yesterday's dreams haunt my memories of you. Yet time has helped my heart heal"
