When I was my grandkids' age I could throw my bike down in the morning outside the playground, unlocked, unguarded Then return for it near twilight ~ it was always there

so true and the change is so sad, gershon! (although i did have a brand-new bike stolen from the alley next to my house in brooklyn when i was growing up, so i guess it wasn't all peaches and cream even then...)

Those days are gone. As you say, indeed times have changed. Now looters bombard in through locked doors and plunder not just our belongings, even our life too! So alarming, Gershon!
