Time Through a Lovers Eyes

Looking out the window,
I see a million stars.
Some clustered together
Transforming into shapes,
while others are widely apart.

We stand like a cluster.
A thousand light years apart,
Yet so close and united as one.
Distance is just a number
when the heart is in control.

Days become years of agony,
the minutes torture my soul.
But with strength and will,
any obstacle can be overcome;
keeping in mind my long yearned goal.
