Time Never Stops
Time never stops –
though tempos change:
a good Hop, or heartfelt
Blues – So, what is the
beat-full news of the day,
or evening, or time let's
just say, using Expressive
Rhythm-souffle for Vernacular
Of Play? –
Again, Time never stops,
yet often we pause, lift the
needle from its destined groves
to dally or delay, where a piece
of heart was lost – a living, breathing
treasured moment, crushed or cruelly tossed
away, by unfathomable divine fate, or simply a fellow
two-legged instrument reprobate –
Not my intention
to promote guilt, for it is our
dearly human, procrastinating way –
Yet Time, with or without us,
moves on...far beyond
our brief, conscious mortal stay –
