Time Is Incredibly Slow Sometimes

time changes ever so slowly 
one tick tock at a time
click click click click
moving even more slowly
the last hour of work
or a long day in a hospital
watching someone trying to leave this plane
tick tick tick 
click click click
each moment creeping more slowly
than the last tick
and the one before
time trying to stand still
filled with impatience 
so incredibly slow now….

Nothing to do after they are gone.
