Time Heals

It seems I've not laughed for quite awhile. When did my face last smile? Sadness and grief now fill my day When will it go away? Time heals the loss. I know that's true I just wish I didn't feel so blue Heavy my heart feels now that you're gone But I must trust that you live on Somewhere beyond our mother Earth Are we recycled through rebirth? I like to think your spirit is free To choose and create where you want to be Maybe you're traveling through oceans of stars Exploring planets like Venus or Mars Or perhaps living beside a seaside Watching the seagulls soar and glide Wherever you are, I hope that you know You're missed by your family, and we love you so Written for my Mom who passed away this year 2023

time never really heals in depth but time gives us wounds that become moments when we hold much deeper the love we shared....mom said you live in an illusion and feel as if you are standing upon an eternity but the real reality is there is a real eternity waiting....mourn a day and return to the plow, life is about the living it will be in a moments notice you will be beyond the veil and in that reality...great poem

Thank you Timothy. I agree with you there. I too believe we live in an illusion and that our real eternity lies beyond the veil. Enjoy your Sunday my firend :-)

Oh, Mom is always the toughest loss. May time heal your wounds, at least partially. Here's to additions only in 2024! No subtractions! :) gw

Thank you so much Andrea. Yes, I'd like to think my Mom is looking down on her family from an otherworldly realm and also exploring or creating her own piece of paradise. Hugs, Anne xox
