Time Goes By

Time goes by
Bringing on droopy eyes
IV been gone a million miles from bead
No soft place to lay my head

Time goes by
I can’t say if I love staying awake
My body rest while my mind counts sheep
Insomnia keeps my eyes awake

Time goes by
So take a rest
Take a deep breath
Dive into the deep end
Landing back on couch cushions

Time goes by
Bring on day light
Wondering though candy fields
Under cloudscape sky

Time goes by
Open eyes stares fill the sky
Floating around the universe
Bouncing off moons

Time goes by
People bluer
The rain comes and goes
Babies grow old
The old grow dead

Time goes by
Yet every now and then
Some things sticks in side my head
Cork bored full of little notes

Time goes by
I make a childhood scarifies
Innocence no drug can restore
Adult hoods bad realty show

Time goes by
I still collect little notes
Head full of useless facts
Jeopardy champion

Time goes by
I grow old
No longer knowing the merrier person
sitting alone in a nursing home

Time goes by
Just another year
Sleepless wishes
Angels will never hear

Time goes by
Heavy harts hop has long forgotten
Insomnia demands rise
Hunting dreams in the night
Don’t Fall asleep
