I agree Gershon. How can any books be banned too ? History is so important to read and learn from. Maybe we can gain knowledge from our mistakes if we know what they were. As far as specs, I'll be darned if I can ever find mine!

You are right, Bill. Horrible decision, that. And it was an innocent kids' book too. Can anyone think that having to stay in a black-only hotel was not rank discrimination?! Happened to Hank all the time. Thanks, Bill ~ gw

I have never had the chance to look at the aforementioned interesting books, Because they were never taught to me That was a lost opportunity, ( My education was elementary, much to my regret) Your monorhyme is true of today as these things need to be encouraged. Take care, Gershon

... And this book about Hank Aaron was so innocent. Perfect for kids... I think it got pulled because Hank faced some racism early in his career -- black cats were thrown at him on the field; he had to stay in separate hotels from the rest of his team. I guess that makes the book about 'racism' somehow. This country has gone off of its rocker. :) gw
