'Mirrored Words' is a new type of poem, which has the same word at the beginning and end of each line, respectively, Each line begins and ends with the same word for that line, creating a sense of symmetry, emphasis, repetition, word play, and poetic reinforcement in the structure. The poem thus has only one side, as the left and right sides have the same face reflected. In its ultimate form the lines read identically forwards and backwards, e.g. 'One becomes all becomes one'. Ideally the poem is crafted as center aligned, which provides a shape with top to bottom symmetry as well.
This is inspired by Klein design and the Möbius strip which are one-sided in 2D and 3D forms with a non-orientable surface, with no inside nor out, no sides, and no way in, nor out.
"If you're lost, you can look, and you will find me, time after time." Cyndi Lauper song - "Time After Time" (1983)
"History doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes with 'time after time'." - attributed to Mark Twain.
