Time

How time flies!
It waits for no one
It is a master of itself
And owes allegiance to none

Time ticks all the way
And records perfectly
Man’s activities on earth
Silently without much ado

Time is true to its purpose
From seconds to minutes
Minutes to hours
Hours to days
Days to weeks
Weeks to months
Months to years
Years to decades
And decades to centuries

You do not praise
Praise is for sycophants
You do not condemn
Condemnation is human pastime
You do not judge
Judgement belongs to history

Time how I love you
As you tick you heal and bind
Hearts broken by pains and hurts
You destroy hatred and enmity
Of many years gone by
Making lambs and wolves
Sit side by side
On the table of fraternity
