Til the Day We Meet Again
From dawn ‘til noonday the sun will rise spreading light amongst us,
Gently, yet ever so slightly pushing the moon away without fuss.
Spilling its heat across this world filling our lives with warmth,
Sending the birds and bees awry in such a blissful swarm.
Rays of light splitting the sky with colors of blue, orange and white,
Just resting on a floating cloud makes for a beautiful sight.
Feeling the wind sweep past your skin in such a caressing manner,
Touching the grass so soft and green fills the heart with splendor.
Its brightness shines through the heart of man, upon each solemn face,
Rising and setting ‘til the end of time with such compassion and grace.
Hearing the sounds ‘tween morn and night that come and go as they please,
Letting go of the sorrows, taking it all in for one brief moment of appease.
Its heavenly body shining so bright has such a luminous glow,
I oft’ forget to say farewell, ‘tis sad to see it go.
Fading slowly, graciously away, ‘til the day we meet again,
For time has come as all time does, bringing the day to an end.
