Thy Task Is Done
I resigned myself to be alone,
when, lo, your lash cut to the bone!
I stood still in the husk of stalwart stones,
designs forgotten so soon,
As I glimpsed 'pon starlight.
Now my very blood has altered course,
and my steps fall in a passioned march,
Now I can see that there is nothing worse,
than to thirst for you and ne'er sate the parch.
The moon comes so soon,
I move swift to take your hand,
your eyes grow so soft,
We twine ourselves into one,
Destiny - thy task is done.
