Thunderstorm

Black as coal and moody as teenagers
The storm steadily approaches home,
Rumbling, growing ever louder,
War-like violence above,
Shaking homes and raw nerves
As frequent flashes
Of forked lightning
Light the sky
Soon to
Die.

A perfect Etheree, dear Paul. You brought the storm to life in present time. Thank you for sharing.

Paul, you have painted with words, a picture of a thunderstorm... I could feel that rumble.. well done. Rated it a 7. Constance
