Throw it down
Two-score tomasina
Shed the decade that
Never belonged to you
Anyway
Battle back
As you reinvent
Misconstrue and smack
Your latency
Delayed disgust
Molding contempt with
Sheer disregard
As if needs to be
Acknowledged
Your stand
Our plight and opportunity
Traverse the course
Before it reverses you
You know
The you remembered
The you that casts off
Without a plan
Except survival
Revival
And the cocksure joy in
Knowing that second chances
May come around
More than once.
