Through the Roof
Carrying the paralysed man, the four
through the crowds could not get in by the door
where Jesus was teaching.
Determined to reach him,
through the roof they lowered him to the floor.
Seeing their faith Jesus said to the man,
“Your sins are forgiven, so now you can
take up your mat and walk.”
Provoking the Scribes to talk,
“Only God can forgive sins, not this man.”
“Why do you raise such questions here and now,
whether to forgive or to heal does allow
this sick man to arise?”
To everyone's surprise
in God's glory he walked, not knowing how.
