Through the Night
The summer runs deeper into the night
Feelings of oppression follow after
As the heat moves over and beyond me
I know that the night-beams flow onward
These tired waves of aggression leaves
Painful moments brought inward go awry
This brings me towards the midnight hour
Where cooler temps are brought upon
The moonbeams bring the slippery night
Where the longer night harps on dimly
As we go deeper into the darkness
Where the moon caresses the evening fog
Autumn comes slipping into the nightlife
As the fall comes drooping inside imparting
Dissolving summer into its smaller pieces
Cooling the night air to the calmer moonlight
Softer the wind breezes on by with envy
As the morn starts to come up once again
But this time Autumn has surely begun
And the moon brings with it a huge grin
