Through a Poet's Eyes
Grey clouds about to rain.
No failures, only experience to gain.
Thinking about past years.
Drowning in other's tears.
Living with the thought he's really trying,
Or perhaps he is only lying.
Scars and pains wanting to heal.
Having one heart too easy to steal.
Old habits I told to leave, and pack,
Want to come back to the surface, want to come back.
These are but regular things for me.
Though to you it may seem a misery,
Through a poet's eyes,
It's paradise.
