Throne Jesting
We call it a throne,
Where you sit all alone.
A necessary invention,
Beneath our attention.
I hesitate to say,
What it takes away.
We seldom are seen,
In this place we've all been.
What would you do
If you hadn't a loo?
The world's seat of power,
Right after your shower.
It's your time to think,
Next to the sink.
Wonder how much gets read,
When perched on the head?
A penchant for flushing,
Keeps gallons a gushing.
The world can be naughty,
Only a third have a potty.
With some comforts we find,
We're really quite blind.
