Thresholds
Jesus said, “I Am The Door”.
He said it in a lots of ways.
My pal Morty says
that the ‘door’ is just a metaphor,
and I thought: well dur!
Why would we need a door anyway?
We must be stuck in a place somewhere.
Jesus knew we all needed a door,
I don’t think he was talking about death.
The other night I dreamt
I was with Morty,
and like, well there were doors everywhere,
every space, every place, had its own door.
So many open doors we hadn’t seen before.
Morty said, “Wow, some crazy metaphor”,
then when I looked around for him
he was gone.
