Three Entries With a Note

hello fellow poetry soup members
it has been a long time since I posted or said hello
may this day find you all well

below are three recent entries just so I don't get rusty
poetry has taken a back seat and will continue to do so
my time is consumed with taking care of my senior parents

feel free to comment if you wish
never do I take visits or comments for granted
forgive me if it takes me a long time to turn to your pages
may you all continue to enjoy poetry and poetry soup
thank you

and now for my three entries

"our times"

somewhere between the light of the moon
and the warmth from the fiery sun
lies our times lavished within love

from the gentle moment you drew me near
we walked hand in hand with many touches
softer than silk reaching all desires

somewhere between two mutual hearts
within wonderful emotions of love
lies up close our times of reality

"the heart"

from tears a soul is empty
seeing no rose hearing no song
darkness is the phantom
leaving a fainted heart

from smiles a spirit breathes
seeing the sun hearing the birds
light is the shadow
restoring a beaten heart

turn all tears to feel
turn each smile into love
master each spotlight
restore the heart forevermore

"winds of sunrise"

where the winds blow I'll follow with light
moving among stars to change my world
I'll reach glitters of yesterday today tomorrow
with whispers of letting go of the past

realizing breezes of today are the change
visualizing I'll face the winds of sunrise
the glittering stars hear my whispers
yesterday is gone with tomorrow unused

WoW! Lisa, You've penned three amazing poems. Your muse is still intact. All three well written had good content and metaphors. I enjoyed them all. I echo what Tom and Victor said. PS, your absence from the soup is understandable. It's so good to see you posting again:-) Alexis

Three well written verses Lisa, you're not rusty, and certainly have a way with words. I live by family first and soup second, soup will always be there, sadly not our parents. Tom

Good Morning Tom - Thank you for such a lovely response and comment. Yes, family has to be first so time and energy is limited. Have a wonderful day. Keep enjoying poetry and poetry soup. Thank you again.

Oh Lisa, three poems after such a long time. You have not lost your muse. I loved all three of them. But no sea to touch our hearts. Hugs.

Victor Victor Victor - Thank you very much. In your honor I will see what I can do to make the sea come alive. It will be short but in your honor I will do so. Thank you for the inspiration. Just give me a day or so. I absolutely love the sea and always will. Have a beautiful night. Remain safe. Thank you once again for such wonderful words on the above entries. Never do I take comments for granted.
