I disagree. I think purposeful attachment is all of those good things and more. My wife and I laugh and play all the time

Sure! Close bond between spouses, partners, it is truly a blessing. Looking deeper, if the moments of joy and tenderness are rooted in attachment to an ephemeral object* (*the one we love) would not fear of losing him/her hover in the background, in the subconscious? On the other hand, love that seeks no echo, agape love, is free from bondage.
