Thought is an abstract object. It comes and goes, therefore not real. What is permanent, is the screen of awareness, which is unchanging. When we are silent, sans thought, we yet are, in fact, more alive, more cognisant, more receptive. It is in silence that we discover our true being, which thoughts veil.
