Among unopened letters, Dated magazines, and stacks of my childreens birthday cards. There I noticed the worn and now flaking painting which I had forgotten about. As I unfolded the small square of paper, the memory of my daughter's first day starting nursery came flooding back. Life gets so busy as a parent that until moments such as coming across old photographs and drawings made for you by your children, you forget how much time has actually gone by. And how much your baby has since grown.

A little moment I had daydreaming of 'the good old days'. , although crying, I felt no sadness. but  only happy tears

Looking back to that exact day My daughter ran towards me. Waving something held in hand, Something you made for me You couldn't wait much longer for mummy's eyes to see How exciting Starting a nursery how great that feeling must be To a child who only recently Turned the age of three Bright red handprints painted So small So glittery You will always be a super star To me, especially Im glad I kept a hold of This precious memory
