Those we love don’t go away
They walk beside us every day
We benefit from their presence and
Passionate love helps us understand
The dearly beloved aren’t limited by
Earthly boundaries as are in life
Love is timeless, magical, like the truth
It’s like a sabbatical always with you
It’s like a pair of glasses helping you see
How much a heart full can be set free
For many feel abandoned when death comes
If only they look up and inside to see the sun
The Son who sends your angel to guide
To dry your tears so you persevere in life
To comfort you and never to confuse
Lifting your spirits and lightening blues
Those we love don’t go away
I see them in a familiar face
A smile, a child, a white wind that blows
Tingling of my skin, warming like hope
You’d never leave me and I feel you close
As if you are my angel, love keeps you afloat
