Notes About The Poem

Those Sweet Dulcet Sounds

Those sweet DULCET sounds of newly born leaves
Fluttering off branches of old oak trees
Nests made from fabric of LACE and CHIFFON
First flights from chicks as they try to hold on

Butterflies of color fly through the air
Old people rocking outside in their chair
RESURRECTION of springtime, life...newborns
New trees with flowers, from tiny acorns

Wild rivers rage high from cold melted snow
Fish jumping out where the water is low
Boys with their nets on the banks where they fished
Girls look at stars, at the ones...when they wished

A last cold chill, Old Man Winter's...good-bye
Then spring shows her face...as the sun sits high

Soothing, a very pleasant and tranquil pastoral scene wrapped up in a Sonnet package. Absolutely beautiful.

You have exceeded the challenge in the best way, Charles by creating a beautiful poem that makes sense. If you had not highlighted the words you needed, I would not have recognized that you were trying. It is smooth and flawless, my friend.
