Thornbirds
Walking through a thick jungle
I never had a reason to smile
Thought life is full of grumble
With only thorns pricking every mile.
I walked in fear
Prayed “O God I wish you were here.”
If someone could wipe those tears
Tell me “ Fear not your future is not hazy but clear .”
When will this society accept me
Stop the abuse and respect me
Recognize my talent ain’t disown me
Say not “you are stoic “ but embrace me
I am a daughter a sister a friend
I crave for a society where norms aren’t biased or opportunities won’t end.
Name it an illusion or my blinded vision
But when I stand in front of a mirror
I see myself clad in an armour
With unwavering faith and achievable mission
A blessed world filled with love and laughter.
