This Was His Name

"Pass the salt!"
Over and over again
in Arabic
Like my father's final dream
Of a young, perfect Abraham
Set in stone stars
Falling into the world with vigor

Slowly,
Slowly now, children...

We are going back to the other side.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Have a blessed New Year.

enigmatic verse got me noggin rereading the lines attempting to convey journeying...? perhaps where spent life journeys, though somewhat cryptic, holistic, operatic... the wordsworth their their weight in... what else... salt.
