This Time

For the time you were weak
for the time it was too tough
for the time that you felt
you weren't strong enough

For the time you gave in
for the time you gave up
for the time you sat down
when you should have stood up

For the time you were scared
for the time that you failed
for the time you surrendered
but could have prevailed

For the time you held back
for the time you hid out
for the time you were silent
but wanted to shout

For the time you said no
for the time you said yes
for the time that you settled
for less than your best

Do it because you didn't
do it because you would't
do it for the time
you told yourself you couldn't

For the time you were brave
for the time that you tried
for the time you came back
to reclaim your pride

For the time you endured
for the time you achieved
for the time you had faith
when it was hard to believe

For the time you excelled
for the time you surpassed
for the time you hung out
feeling like an outcast

For the time you forgave
for the time you were free
for the time you let go
of all your hostility 

For the time you were confident
for the time you were right
for the time you were victorious
after choosing to fight

Do it because you did before
do it because you can
do it because this time
you know you can do it again
