This So-Called Life

I used to admire the glow of the stars, hanging upon the black ink sky. But now they seem to mock my innocence, knowing this life is nothing more than a lie. I used to love that special feeling I got from the shine of the summer sun. But now I prefer the pouring rain, which hides my tears as they run I used to live for all those spring days, when I felt as though I was nothing less than free. But now I'm a slave to constant heart break, waiting for someone to rescue me They say with time alone, all your pain will heal. But too much of one remedy kills, making you too numb to feel.
