This Part of Me
There is a part of me that cannot speak
When my soul is anchor in the deep
There is a part of me that you cannot see
When the sun goes down
and the evening caresses my soul
There is a part of me that is buried in the deep
When my spirit is asleep
And when my mind is travelling with the breeze
And the intruders come knocking at the door
This part of me keeps strong and defeats the distraction
There is a part of me that keeps calling out to thee
It is the part that is interlock and is wearing a solitary frock
And when the temperature is right
Nature walks patiently by my side
The heavens watches over me
And the darkness fades away from me
There is a part of me that is burning up inside
It is the part of me where the universe abides
And when it gets too hot I wear a different cap
To cool down the temperature before I open the door
The day breaks with an essence of hope
and I am travelling on the road carving out a path where
destiny will roll and bystanders eagerly waving at me
with happy faces and smiling eyes
and I couldn’t help but dry
the tears of joy flowing from my eyes
knowing that it is not about me,
its about them and their heartfelt desires
Oh how my heart is moved and
Courage swells inside my shoe,
I have got to move
This part of me is happy
but this part of me is sad
This part of me is in pain
When the cares of life confronts me
And the village water hurt my belly
I began to question my destiny
I have learnt to put things behind me
And I have learnt to pardon the enemy
This part of me enjoys the little things in life
This part of me is bursting with laughter
For the new journey that I will take
I will say thanks to all the people that
Helped me to cross over
and walked into a new tomorrow
This part of me is happy
This part of me is free
This part of me is simple
This part of me is just me
