This New Year's Five Resolutions

 EMBRACE the things I hate.  Let go of these disturbing issues 
    and find a way to relate!  I am a lost soul.

RESET, turn back time and wrestle through this bad karma of mine 
                              reinvent me and be a...

GOOD INFLUENCE on the grandchildren, their husbands, and wives 
    and teach them about heroes in our lives.

SWITCH OFF hate radio!  Since The Fairness Act left the 
    scene—It’s no longer entertainment—It’s vitriolic and obscene.

ACCEPTENCE is key.  Without love it's empty insanity, 
                                      I want to be whole.

I think writing helps us all and it's fun to share our different perspectives about life. You are in no way a lost soul in my book. We're all a bit different, but that is what makes this so interesting. The best thing I see about the few poems of yours I have read thus far is that you bring a view of life I might not have thought about. These resolutions are worthy of all of us, I particularly like "Acceptance is key" and "find a way to relate". We are the masters of our fates the captains of our souls, to paraphrase Kipling. A year has transpired, and I have found that it takes patience to empathize then accept then embrace with some more than others. I have discovered that I love to research and write about histories of various cultures. Many are stunned to learn about pieces of history they've never known. And fiction.
