This Is Serious

No one told us about the deer flies who live in The marsh Add life they multiply. They are waiting to descend in a flash on the Daring who are rash Who have no inside enclosure or any netting to Make a dash Where the humans will get bitten not once but many times by the deer flies who live in the marsh. When human and fly meet this is a major clash For many of these creatures will die. They are waiting to descend in a flash on the Daring who are rash From the boat you'll hear the slap and someone Yell balderdash Which as the person gets bit it does intensify As they fight off the deer flies who live in the Marsh. People have been known to get whiplash While swinging at the flies who land and bite As off they fly. Believe me, they are waiting to descend in a Flash on the Daring who are rash. Surprise! We have bug spray, a fly swatter to Squash, bash, and trash As we try to rectify The problem with the deer flies who live in the Marsh. They are waiting to descend in a flash on the Daring who are rash.

Deer flies sound as terrific as deer ticks. Ugh! Thanks for the lesson on the form of a well-built poem.

Thank you Karen. I am getting our netting set up on our boat now. I heard we are facing more deer flies as we enter the Dismal Swamp.
