This Daughter of Mine
You are more beautiful than the most shimmering stone,
The love that I feel will never run cold
From the first time I seen you, I knew you were mine
Everyone quick to tell me that everything would be fine
From the first time I held you, from the first time you slept on my chest
I felt in my soul that I would give you my best
Your mother and I were not met to last,
you left this world to soon, I wish it was me that had past
My daughter, my love, you mean the whole world to me
I will see you some day, when I pay the boat keepers fee.
