This Dampened Day
~
A dampened morning calls my name
as clouds engulf the sky
Stepping in between the rain
I watch the day go by
Puddles catch reflections as a
chilly wind does chase
Shivers wrap me tightly in
this winter’s cold embrace
Yet still I’m feeling warm inside
as this new day does start
For love is like a summer sun
aglow within my heart
So as I wander on my way
no matter what the view
I’ll pay no mind, this dreary day
and only think of you
